| For those of US that have were here during out YWOSW Days. There was a topic somebody brought up about using 35% Hydrogen Peroxide on your Vintage (Yellowing Figures)
And let me tell you it WORKS. I tried it out on some butter yellow figures and left them sitting for 3 days now and BOOM!
Its MAGIC. Whiter then White, my only regret is that I didnt take any before and after pics for all of you.

| Go to your Local Beauty Supply and Ask for V40 or higher if they have it, Hair Developer. Put your figs in a GLASS Jar with the Liquid and Let them sit for a few days. PUT THEM IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. And you will see them start to lighten before the end of the 1st day. Day 2 even more by day 3. WHITER then WHITE. IT WORKS.
THANKS One Million to who ever found that last year online on that Transformer Site.

| Does the peroxide dull the plastic and what lasting effects does it have to the plastic. My concern would be tje deterioration of the plastic or causing the figures to break down over time. Does anyone know more about this? If no harmful side effects this is great news! | |

| You can send a mesage to Darth Vilgore and Darth Myles about this.
To the best of my knowledge, they have had amazing results with no issues.
Myself, I did this with several figures and some of them have started to yellow again. I don't know if I didn't leave them in long enough, but I will try it again and see how things go.
Keep in mind this was only MY experience. Everyone else who seems to use this method has not had an occurance of re yellowing.

| the last figure i did was stormtrooper luke, pic posted in my collection pics, still white. i did a snowtrooper when i heard about it, at least a year, still white. i was worried about the figures becoming brittle over time, but the snowtrooper seems fine. vilgore also did a snowtrooper before me, ive heard no complaints from him about it. only time will tell though. peroxcide dries things out real bad. sunlight is part of the key. they must get lots of light when they are soaking. | |

| I don't know why mine turned yellow again. Not real bad or anything, but not pure white like when I took them out. I soaked each one at least over night in just plain water to stop the effect of the peroxide. Maybe that is what I did wrong? Could it have been something in my water at the time?
Also, for figures with other colors.... I dipped a Hoth Rebel Commander.... two days later his scarf had bleached to a much lighter color.
I have a yard with a LOT of sunlight, so this spring I will try again. I'll take a couple before pics, and I'll make sure I take some after pics.
SO, let me know what you guys did when the figures came out of the bath. Did you rinse them? Did you soak them overnight, what did you do? I want to make sure my figures don't re yellow.

| - I soaked the for about a week, placing them daily in the window sill for the Sun Light Part
I swirrled them around in the jar to hopefully get the oxidization to activate to the Max Then when I removed them I thoroughly rinsed them again and again to ensure that all of the developer was removed and if any was remaining that it was neutralized And allowed them to airdry for a couple days then returned them to the deepest receses of my collection.
