PostSubject: Microsoft Windows 7   Microsoft Windows 7 Icon_minitimeThu Apr 01, 2010 8:40 pm

Anyone else here use Windows 7?

I recently got a Freebie computer with tripple the specs of the one I am using. Loaded Windows 7 in it and have been messing around and so far like what I see.

Do you guys have any tips or pointers for using the OS?

Everyone I work with, the techs and sale guys, all say Windows 7 is great. They fixed everything that was wrong with Vista supposedly. I can't wait to get a new computer with it on there. I'm still running XP.

Thanks Xaos,

That helps. I am using a system with XP right now. The new system was actually something someone left at the town DUMP! I saw it had a DVD burner in it, and primarily grabbed it for that. Then I saw the specs!!

It is significantly better then the one I am using. It booted up and loaded, with Vista on it. I got my hands on a copy of Windows 7 put more Ram in and am almost ready to change over to the unit. Just need to hit up the local computer store for one stupid little cable to add in a second hard drive.

I'm still using home edition of XP but my wife had Vista and upgraded to Windows 7. I've used her laptop some and Windows 7 seems a lot better than Vista (what little I have experienced of it). My wife claims that she really likes 7. I think I just like the name better than Vista. Seven does take some getting used to as I've been using XP forever. The program seems to be very stable though and intuitive once you get the hang of it. Hope this helps.

I found last night that when you paste a picture to your desktop, it shows a thumbnial of the pic! I don't usually ever really find all the features of an OS, but would really like to find all the bells and whistles this system has. I hope my brother can help me out when he gets home. He is a supposed MAC guy, but got really excited about 7.

I think I got him to come to the "Dark Side" LOL
