I took a few of my VOTC figures out of the clamshell when they were released. Bossk looks great as does ROTJ Fett.
I haven't taken IG-88 out, but the VOTC Han looks amazing out of the clamshell.
I'll get some photos up this weekend.
Adam - I realised you meant the VOTC - but it was just incase you wanted the new articulated figures from them.

| All the Bounty Hunters on Vintage styled cards. I have noticed a difference between the VOTC and the Vintage 2010 cards in that the bubble on the VOTC line is rounded like the vintage figures were. The new Vintage cards have a support at the bottom - I guess that is to avoid damages on the shelf, seeing as all the VOTC came in protective clamshells. In regards to the clamshells and opening them. They are reasonable easy to do. The 1st wave is only held together with tape. The later waves were heatseald - and this was down to the Galactic Hunt promotions - where people were opening the clamshell and taking the POP and leaflets out. Han for example just came out with the tape removed - as did Leia. Here are a few more photos to show comparisons. I do like the Han and the scout trooper and their cards a lot. I will update the FEATURES page on the Vintage 2010 line this weekend (if anyone has good photos of any of the newer waves - please send and I wil include.) | |

| Man those look amazing! I am really fighting the temptation to take them out. I remember the Heat sealed ones were a pain. I cut those, and actually bought some used clamshells from the VOTC and sealed them with tape.
Jim, going back to your question about the Luke Dagobah. As far as I can tell right now, it looks like the SAME body as the Legends Luke. I could be wrong on this. The head is yet ANOTHER sculpt. Really wish they would just use one good looking head for the Lukes, as well as use the VOTC Han head for future releases. The other feature is of course bare hands instead of the Hoth gloves. The sabe might be corrected to an actual Luke saber instead of the constant packing of the Anakin one.
Does this really matter to me? No. This is just on of those little inconsistancies that should not even be an issue. Ben gave Luke Anakin's saber. Why is every version of this different? Episode IV, Episode V and Episode III are all in theory supposed to be the SAME..... lol

| If you listen to the weekly forcecast this week, James Burns is on there talking about this figure. He is covering Toyfare in the UK this week. He said there are some small changes to it. He even threw out there that these figures being done are the ones the fans have requested? REALLY? Dan said that to Kyle the other day on the collectors cast too. I can think of a LOT of better figures to produce and even reproduce than another Luke X-Wing pilot! But whatever.
I've said it before, if they want me to get excited about collecting again they should animate the original trilogy characters like the clone wars ones. The sculpts are so much better. What do you think of clone wars figures on vintage cards? I'm sure everything just looks better on vintage.

Came across the relevant forum from 2007 - suggests collectors want the same figures.

| Chris over at sandtroopers.com has some nice photos of the first three waves of vintage you can see here. Really makes you want to open those bad boys up, huh!?
I really should have picked up that Bespin Luke. Most of these waves are gone from here now. All I see are ROTS clones hanging on the vintage pegs. I went to three stores yesterday. The same everywhere. Most of the packaging is flawed now too from hanging on pegs so long.

| Great photos
And if you look closely on the back you can see the often delayed Wedge figure and card!

| UK Rocket Firing Fetts arrived today - seem to be the same as the US ones - even came in plain mailer box. Have also taken photo alongside other vintage versions. | |

| So, is the General Lando going to have the soft goods cape that was shown in a sneak peek or the crappy looking hard platic one that has been circulating around the forums the last week? The soft goods cape was a selling point for me. It all around looks better. I will not buy the hard plastic one. | |

| I can't believe they would make the same mistake twice! I waited a long time to mail away for mine. I hope it comes in a good box. | |

| Adam, You should be fine for the mail aways. I think the only reason the UK didn't get the stronger outer box was because they are not a "mail away".
Darth Father, As far as I have heard and seen, it looks like Lando General is going to have a cloth cape. It looks like it is tucked into the tray on the cardback.
Hope this figure is AWESOME! And I like that it is on an ROTJ card instead of a Power of the Force card!

| For those of you who may not have heard, I saw online last night that wave 3 figures could be shipping again! There was an update on Entertainment Earth that wave 3 revision 11 will have a new figure!
Wedge Antillies! http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HS97568C11#desc
I really hope this is not an exclusive case. I don't think it will be, because this is also probably how they plan on shipping Luke on the all new cardback.

| Revenge Cards
I guess I don't get why a TIE pilot would be on a Revenge of the Jedi card. Did they even show them in that movie?

They weren't shown in ths ships in ROTJ - but I guess you could argue they were on the Death Star running around and standing to attention in the opening scene. I guess it reflects the vintage line, where characters were released throughout the line's time on the card if the latest film. I am more interested in the Luke figure - does this mean that we are going to have another rare card in the current Endor Capture? I am not sure how long the Jabba's Palace card was in circulation, before replaced with the current Endor card. With this Revenge Card does it mean I should get the current one in case that turns out to be a collector's item in the future? I have read somewhere that a future version of Luke will reflect a deleted scene from Jedi showing him building his lightsaber in Tatooine. If the Revenge card is to be that version - as been hinted with the Revenge cards (deleted scenes) then won't that card be wrong too? If the Revenge cards do relate to deleted scenes - that will be interesting - I know there is a few nice missing scenes featuring the battle above Endor that would be interesting to see (relate to Tie Pilot and B-Wing Pilot). I know there is a scene with Madine cheering on the bridge of a ship.

| Oh if these are figures put out due to missing scenes coming on blu-ray, I can understand that. I just thought the tie pilot was most prominent in a new hope so they would use that logo. | |

| Adam - I might be completely wrong - I am just thinking about the different things that are being said on the net and creatively joining up the dots - as I say - might be totally off the mark! | |
