Make Your Own Vintage Death Star Trash Compactor Foam!

Buried Egg here with another Vintage Star Wars collecting video on my YouTube channel. I put together a guide on how to make your own Vintage Death Star Playset Trash Compactor Foam. Is cheap, easy, and very authentic looking! Most of the foam trash pieces that came with those Vintage Death Stars are really 'crumbly' and deteriorated by now. This is a great way to keep the original Vintage foam in a protective bag, but have something authentic looking in the compactor for display or play:

I can honestly say that I have been wracking my brain for years trying to figure out where to find that kind of foam. I NEVER gave the scrubber things any thought. Perfect example.

What kind of protective bag should I store my original foam in?
My foam is far from bright but it is not deteriorating.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Haven't been back here in a while! We moved house and had a baby soon after, but I'm back in action now!

I would probably use the same polypropylene bags that you're supposed to store loose action figures in. They're not made of the acidic plastic that accelerates the breakdown of the plasticizers. I get mine here: http://www.gtzip.com/ But anything will work as long as it's polypropylene.
